OneOncology Names New Disease Group Chairs, Expands Physician Sub-Specialization with Gynecologic Oncology

OneOncology is strengthening its physician-led model of sub-specialized cancer care by appointing new leadership for its OneCouncil Disease Groups and launching a new Gynecologic Oncology Disease Group. The appointment of new chairs to a two-year term reinforces OneOncology's commitment to connecting physicians across its national network to share expertise, develop evidence-based care pathways, and advance high-quality patient care close to home.

"Our Disease Group chairs embody the collaborative spirit that makes OneOncology unique," said Davey Daniel, MD, Chief Medical Officer of OneOncology. "By bringing together nationally recognized experts across disease, they help ensure physicians throughout our network have access to the latest clinical insights, educational opportunities, and evidence-based treatment pathways. I want to thank our outgoing chairs for their tremendous leadership and welcome our new chairs as we continue expanding this important work."

The addition of the Gynecologic Oncology Disease Group marks the sixth OneCouncil Disease Group, expanding opportunities for physician collaboration in an area of growing clinical complexity. The new group reflects OneOncology's continued commitment to building sub-specialized expertise across its national physician network.

The OneCouncil Disease Groups bring together physicians with deep expertise in breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic, hematologic malignancies, and lung cancers to advance care across the OneOncology network through collaboration, education, and clinical leadership.

The groups oversee OneOncology's proprietary clinical pathways, ensuring they remain aligned with nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines and are updated as new data emerge from major scientific meetings and peer-reviewed research. They also help guide clinical trial priorities for OneR, advise the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee on newly approved therapies, shape physician education, and provide strategic direction on innovative models of cancer care.

Gastrointestinal: Zach Koontz, MD – Pacific Cancer Care
