Empowering Practice Growth

2025 proved to be another year of impressive growth for OneOncology partner practices, enabling expanded reach, new services, and more comprehensive and accessible care across the oncology and urology continuum.

Bringing together financial, operational, clinical, recruiting, and business development expertise from across the organization, OneOncology equipped practices with the individualized support needed to execute on growth initiatives, even in the face of increased headwinds for independent practices. Through a combination of practice partnerships and recruitment efforts, OneOncology partners signed more than 155 physicians. OneOncology also supported the assessment, build-out, and go-live of 18 service lines across lab, radiation, pharmacy, and imaging, as well as 15 de novo sites, expanding convenient access to comprehensive, patient-centric care.

Integrating Oncology and Urology

Since acquiring United Urology Group last year, OneOncology has focused on integrating oncology and urology services at partner practices to provide holistic care for genitourinary patients. For patients in Maryland, this vision is now a reality through an innovative partnership between Chesapeake Urology and Chesapeake Oncology and Hematology Associates. Given the complexities of bringing two practices of different specialties together, OneOncology not only supported with financial due diligence and capital but also collaborated with the two practices to create a governance structure and integration plan. In addition, OneOncology’s recruitment team assisted in the hiring of a medical oncologist to establish a new urologic cancer center north of Baltimore, further realizing the synergies between the two specialties. Since nearly 4 in 10 urology patients are ultimately treated for some type of cancer, OneOncology will continue to enhance its growth offerings to expand access to multidisciplinary urology and oncology care in a high-quality and low-cost community setting.

Expanding Services Along Cancer Care Continuum

Pacific Cancer Care’s opening of a radiation oncology service line in tandem with a new medical oncology site provides another example of how OneOncology has supported partner practices to expand their reach and patient-centric service offerings. Pacific Cancer Care had historically focused on medical oncology, so OneOncology’s cross-functional subject matter experts provided crucial technical, operational, and clinical guidance from planning to go-live. Additionally, OneOncology leveraged robust analytics to assess the financial and practical feasibility of the opportunity and provided the capital to purchase a linear accelerator from the local hospital. Zach Koontz, MD, President and Managing Partner of Pacific Cancer Care said, “Integrating radiation oncology into our care model strengthens our ability to serve patients across the Central Coast. It means more people can access comprehensive, high-quality cancer treatment closer to home and at a significantly lower cost than hospital-based care. This expansion reduces the burden of travel and fragmented care for our patients and their families.”

Reflecting on partner practices’ success in 2025, a clear throughline emerges: meaningful growth across the care continuum happens when practices are empowered with cross-functional expertise and resources from a unified platform. With each new partnership, service line, and site of care, OneOncology strengthens the foundation of a more connected, innovative, and patient-centered ecosystem, delivering enduring value to partner practices and the patients they serve.
